Ramblings of Emily Braveheart, a recovering trauma-brained creator

During my stay in the dungeons of trauma brain, I became obsessed with breaking free.

Trauma has a way of leaving us fragmented, torn and broken pieces of our identity scattered across the floor. Most of my life was steeped in trauma, causing me to be in constant chaos and mental overload. After becoming a bereaved parent I gave into the darkness of my mind, and suddenly all of life came crashing down.

I have lived through a few mental crisis' now, and after "doing the work" for nearly 15 years, I can say I have the tools to a free mind.

Applying those tools effectively, and consistently?
Well, this is life after all, and no one is perfect!
That is why I designed the Freaked Out and Flawless platform.
There are many challenges in life, especially with a trauma wired brain.
There are many "freaked out" days, even for well adjusted and emotionally regulated people.

How do we live this exhausting life, while maintaining our mental health? How do we heal the traumas that others have cast onto us? How do we take back our rights, within our own minds? How do we become less flawed?

FLAWLESS stands for Flow, Living, Awareness, Wondrously, Learn, Emotional & Spiritual Sustainment. It is more than an acronym; it is a roadmap for those seeking to design their after-trauma life with intention and grace.

Freedom is my mission, and I want to help others find it too.

I desperately craved a way out of the darkness that lived in my head.
I launched onto a spiritual journey of identifying God and finding my connection to spirit, and personal development.
I went to therapy (again), hired a really expensive (and amazing) life coach, and met God -
or my perceived form of God, anyway.
Started a business, was NOT ready to be a business owner, had another breakdown,
fixed myself and got a j.o.b. - burned out after a year.
Took a down turn in physical health, got back to crisis mode... attended intensive outpatient mental health.

I study NLP, CBT, and I have overcome many debilitating symptoms of PTSD.
Through the rollercoaster of healing, much study and experimentation,
I have found the keys that unlock your ability to become a master of self and live a better after-trauma life.
Of course, a few unhealthy patterns linger.. and the pain still exists.. and life is still really challenging..
but I have the tools.
I have the resilience,
I have the bravery.
I have taken back my mind from the darkness.

The journey is about progress, rather than perfection.
It's about showing up for yourself one moment at a time, and embracing the freedom that comes with self-mastery. Healing isn't a destination - it is a beautifully flawed, fiercely intentional way of living.
